Who completes your medical record summaries?

We employ a nurse paralegal researcher that familiarizes herself with your case and your exact medical expert needs.


MLE strictly requires all its degreed nurse paralegals have more than 10 years of general nursing background.


MLE provides extensive training on its custom-developed MedSum program, and along with the highest level of quality control, provides seamless summaries even if more than one nurse paralegal performs the work.


Your nurse paralegal will provide you with a list of recommendations such as ordering the records of a facility or provider that may provide treatment for a pre-existing condition.


Who are your medical experts?

We contact all potential medical experts to request their most current CV and expert case list.


We perform a conflicts check and investigate the background of all recommended medical experts including licensure and disciplinary actions. We also assist with providing all obtained medical records to the chosen medical expert. We work with your chosen medical expert to insure timely contact, review, and oral and written reports.


How available is your staff?

Your nurse paralegal is available to you when you are available and will personally alert you to inconsistencies found.


What is the average turnaround time for records review?

The normal turnaround time for the average case is two weeks.


What do the medical summary reports look like?

MLE's advanced technology provides laymen's terms for medical terminology.


Our custom MedSum program and nurse paralegals provide you with a summarized chronology of each medical facility, provider, test results, and related and non-related costs. 


We also provide a full chronology of all medical records summarized to give you a completely clear and concise medical history.


MLE will take you one step closer to taking control of your medical records by providing you with a narrative summary prepared by our experienced nurse paralegal.  Our narrative summaries are often utilized as a client status letter or case status report for Work-in-Progress meetings.

Your medical record summaries are delivered in high-quality 3-ring binders and electronic formats.  MLE provides all numbered tabs and updated table of contents as your records are summarized.

How are records billed?   

You are billed for only those hours actually spent summarizing. No set-up fees are charged.


We will send a billable hour summary that is easily transferable to your firm’s billing program


How much per records page are records billed?   Are they billed per page of the record or per page of the finished review?  

We bill the actual tie spent, which takes about an hour per Medsum page.


Is there an extra charge for rush work? 

No, rush work is part of the industry.


Are hospital records billed differently than office records? 

No, but they usually go quicker.
